We heartily welcome Dr. B.G Dharmanand – Consultant, Department of Rheumatology, who has rejoined us on 1st February 2009. Dr. Dharmanand did his MBBS from Madurai Kamaraj University in 1988. He did MD in Internal Medicine in 1992 from Mysore Medical College and D.M in Rheumatology in 1996 from Madras Medical College.

Dr. Dharmanand joined Manipal Hospital in 1997 as Specialist in Rheumatology department and was later promoted as Consultant in 1999. He had a brief stint in U.K as Registrar in ‘South End - On Sea’ between 2002 & 2004. He continued with Manipal Hospital until June 2008, he left Manipal for a brief period. He played a major role in establishing Rheumatology department of Manipal Hospital, Bangalore as one of the most successful and popular specialties in South India.
